I made this card using a new stamp set from Stampin' Up called Floral Statements; such a pretty stamp set the other stamp says Hello. I colored the image using the colors from this week's challenge at Cupcake Inspirations which is white, light blue and black. O.k. so green got in there to, but I wanted to use this new stamp and green was necessary, I colored the image with Artist Loft watercolor pencils, added some design paper as a frame and viola!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
A beautiful day it is here in the foothills of Colorado :)
Hi City Crafters! Marina is our host this week at the City Crafter blog and she is asking "Where did you get that hat?" Marina is asking us to include a hat on our project, any kind of hat. Please stop by the blog to see the wonderful creations from the DT and join in the fun!
The little Santoro Gorjus girls are so sweet, and this little girl on her horse is one of my favorites. I used Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils and Zig markers to color the image then added a snowflake and sequins to make this Christmas card.
I am entering this card in the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches this week, just in time. Here is the sketch we were given (as you can see I turned it sideways:
This photo does not do justice to the colors on the card, must get better at taking photos. Anyway, this card has shine to it, used Blush paper and dots from My Mind's Eye, beautiful paper. My Cousin's daughter got engaged at Thanksgiving and I made this card for her and her guy, she's a beautiful girl.
I just added this wonderful die from Sizzix to my die collection. It's a box card die set with 24 dies, everything you need to make a box card, here's a link to the die set: Sizzix box card die.
After making this card I remembered the topping for the challenge at Seize the Birthdaty is monochromatic, so decided to add my card to the challenge. Check it out, I always need birthday card and this fun challenge keeps them coming :)
Hi, welcome to this week's challenge at City Crafter - I believe in Santa Claus. Kirsty is our hostess this week and she has chosen a Christmas album by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton called "Once upon a Christmas" for inspiration. The DT have made wonderful cards for inspiration, please take a look and share your creations with us this week.
The challenge over at the Muse Card Club this week features a card of a pink Volkswagon by Kimberly Weiner (see below). Well, I just happen to have this Volkswagon bus stamp by Purple Onion and when I saw Kimberly's card I knew what to do with this fun stamp. I took inspiration from the following: the pink VW and the presents on top of the vehicle.
Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy a ride before the snow hits (snow in my neck of the woods anyway).
I put this card together for this week's sketch challenge at Little Red Wagon. The image is by Mo Manning and it's one of my favorites; who of us who has dog(s) hasn't squeezed / hugged them like this? It's Love that makes up want to eat them up we Love them so much.
As the sketch below says, add a sentiment or embellishments wherever you like, so I added 3 sequins because I enjoy a little bling on my cards; here's the sketch:
Hi and Welcome to this week's City Crafter challenge; this week the challenge is Autumn Colors. The design team have some wonderful inspiration for you up on the blog, we hope you'll be inspired to ink up your fingers, get crafty and have fun!
This week's challenge at Simon Says is Furry Friends. The challenge is featuring Newton's Nook stamps; I just Love Newton's Nook stamps so have quite a few and used one of my favorites for this card. I used my Zig markers for the blankets and Derwent Inktense pencils for Newton.
The Paper Players blog is hosting a color challenge and as you can see from my card the color is White, white on white to be exact. This is the first time in all my years making cards I made an all white card; I've not participating in all white challenges before because I just couldn't come up with something. Well, I'm taking a chance, hope you like this. I had to add a little color for the sentiment, because I am a colorful card maker most times :)
I just love the challenge I recently discovered called Cupcake Inspirations. Every week there are different cupcakes to inspire us and who doesn't love cupcakes and a card challenge. I used an older Hero Arts stamp set for my fussy-cut leaves and a sentiment from Stampin' Up. Added some designed paper and a few gems too.
Hi City Crafters! This week Amy is our host at City Crafter and she has chosen "For the Boys" as the inspiration for this week's challenge. I used stamps from My Favorite Things for my card, this cute little bear and his balloons shouted "little boy" to me. Please stop by the blog to see the wonderful cards made by the DT, join in and have some fun!!
Autumn! I made this card for this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I recently bought some Autumn design paper and I was so excited to see this sketch as I knew just the paper I would use on it. In addition to the design paper, I used a leaf from Hero Arts, sentiment from Stampin' Up and wreath from Memory Box.
Got this card done just in time for the challenge, whew!
The challenge at Shopping Our Stash this week is to use an Autumn color palette for your card. As Autumn is my favorite season it's easy for me to create a card using the colors of this time of year. I used stamps from an older set from Hero Arts for my leaves and a newer set from My Favorite Things for my sentiment. The little thanks is a Penny Black die.
This week's Muse Card Club card (see below) was made by the talented Anita Bowden. I Love seeing all of the Autumn cards in blog land these days and was so glad to have Anita's card to inspire me. I took from the following elements of Anita's card for my card: the embossed background, 2 leaves and the colors.
Hi there, we have a new challenge at the City Crafter Challenge Blog this week hosted by Marina. It's a simple challenge, just add the word Love or Peace on your creation. So, please stop by the challenge blog to see what the other DT members have made and join in. Most of all, don't forget to have fun :)
The word for this week's challenge at Just Us Girls is Thankful. For my card I used some design paper for the background and leave stickers with a little shine on them. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up. Autumn is my favorite time of year; the crisp air and the changing leaves on the trees, so pretty.
There are so many things to be thankful for in this life of ours.
Lindsey provides the Muse card this week for our inspiration (see below). I knew I would use one of my Newton's Nook stamps the second I saw Lindsey's card. I like to give books as presents and I purchased this stamp set some time ago to make cards to accompany the books :)
Here's Lindsey's card:
Happy you stopped by today. Hope you can make time to read a good book!
The challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches this week is a double challenge where we are asked to use both colors and a sketch on our card. I did not have the exact colors requested (see below) so I used the similar Stampin' Up colors of real red, Sahara sand and marina mist.
Kirsty is our host this week at City Crafter Challenge Blog and she's asking us to use just ONE snowflake on our project. For my DT card I used my largest snowflake stamp and die cut from Stampin' Up. Blue is my go to color for Christmas cards as blue is a "chill" color.
Please head over to the City Crafter blog to see what the other DT members have made, then join us with your project and have some fun.
