Muse Challenge #235

It's getting close to Halloween, one of my favorite Holidays!  I made this card for challenge #235 at the Muse Card Club.  Elizabeth Stewart made the Muse card (below) for inspiration.  I took my inspiration from:

1)  Halloween theme
2)  Colors
3)  Moon, bat and cat

Here's the Muse card:

So happy you stopped by today.  Spookieness is around the corner :)

Golden Horse

This card is made with a Stampendous horse stamp that I thought about purchasing for over a year.  Well, I finally bought it and I have to say, it's a beauty.

I made this card for this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches:

Sparkly flowers

I made this card for the challenge at the Muse Card Club this week.  The pretty card (below) by Kim Heggins is our inspiration (Muse).  Kim's card is very delicate and the blue flowers spoke to me immediately.

I was inspired by the pretty blue flowers and the purple hummingbird.

Here's Kim's card:

City Crafter Challenge #379 - I know what you did last summer

Hi! This week's challenge at the City Crafter challenge blog is hosted by Marina "I know what you did last summer".

For my DT project I made a flamingo card.  I visited Florida this summer for a wedding and saw some beautiful flamingos, such pretty pink birds, so chose to add one to my card.  Also, the inspiration photo has a flamingo tube on it, what fun :)

Please join us this week at City Crafter and share your Summer project :)

Thank you.

Hello crafty friend

I made this card for the challenge this week at Little Red Wagon - Give us your background.  The challenge is, you guessed it, to make your own background.  I used a stamp from Technique Tuesday for my background, stamped it twice in 2 different directions and colored the brushes and pens with my Zig markers.

I cannot remember where the sentiment, easel and paintbrush are from (maybe Paper Smooches), but after making my background they seemed the right additions.  I cut the center out of the easel, added some sequins and finished my shaker card.

So happy you stopped by today :)

Muse Challenge #232

This card was made for this week's challenge #232 at Muse Card Club.  Anita Bowden gave us the lovely card (below) for our muse inspiration and I took ink to paper as soon as I saw it.

I used Tim Holtz Blossom layering stencil and Distress oxide inks for my card.  The sentiment is from Penny Black sprinkles & smiles.  I am in Love with the new distress oxide inks, so easy to use, stencils, watercolors, you name it and the colors are beautiful.

Here's Anita's card:

So glad you stopped by today :)

Pretty Pink Flower

Penny Black has such beautiful flower stamps; the flower on this card is a PB Floral Fushion stamp and one of my favorites.  I made this card for 2 challenges:

The Flower Challenge - Tic-tac-toe - I chose white, watercolor, embossing

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Stencil flower birthday

I made this card for the September challenge at The Flower Challenge - Tic-Tac-Toe.  I chose distress inks, the color blue and sentiment to use for my card.

I am finally getting the hang of stencils.  The items I used for my card are:
Distress Oxide Inks - salty ocean and wilted violet
Sentiment - Penny Black sprinkles & smiles
Stencil - Tim Holtz blossom layering
Ric rack ribbon, purple gems

So happy you stopped by today :)

PINK = Fabulous!

Sometimes I get stuck in a "color" zone and lately that zone is PINK!  I made this card the other day and when going through a list of challenges this week I saw that this card would fit the challenge at Shopping Our Stash.  The challenge is On Trend and flamingos fit that perfectly.  Flamingos are always on trend for me as I just love them, who doesn't love a Pink bird :)

So happy you stopped by today.  Get your PINK on :)

City Crafter Challenge Bog #378 - Pick One

Kirsty is the hostess for the challenge at City Crafter this week. She is asking everyone to pick one of the splats from the image below and use it as the background on our projects.

I chose to use the colors green, teal and violet that are in the lower right hand corner of the background selections.  I used distress oxide inks for my background and the sketch rose die from Memory Box.

Here are the splats:

Please come on over and join us at City Crafter.

I'm excited to see everyone's projects.

Friends come in all shapes & sizes

This cute stamp from Stamping Bella has been one of my favorites for a long time.  I made this card for the challenge at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes".

I used Zig markers to color the images, added some sparkle to the little queen's crown and some sparkly flowers for fun.  Friends do come in all shapes and sizes, including our animal friends :)

So happy you stopped by today :)
